BENGALURU: TCS said it will hire more than 40,000 engineering graduates from campuses this fiscal, more than it did last year. IT companies are building a strong bench to meet client demand which has gone up during the pandemic.
The company hired more than 20,000 people in the first quarter. “We expect attrition to go up and we will make all efforts to keep it down in the coming quarters. We have an operating model to make sure that it does not impact us,” the company’s chief of global human resources, Milind Lakkad, said.
Lakkad had said on Thursday that the attrition rate at TCS, currently 7-8%, was “artificial” due to the pandemic.
