Five biggest changes in the new Hyundai Creta: Expected price, launch date and more - IndiaTimes

Hyundai Motor India is all set to launch the new and updated Hyundai Creta on January 16, 2023. The Creta facelift gets a new design, improved dynamics, added safety, additional features, new colour options and much more. The bookings for the updated SUV are already underway and interested customers can book by visiting their nearest dealership or online by paying Rs 25,000.In this article let’s take a look at the five biggest changes, the expected price and much more.

The first biggest change in the new Creta will be the new design, the new Hyundai Creta features more upright and boxy with a new grille, headlamp and bumper. The grille comes with chrome inserts with a full-width LED light bar with inverted L-shaped elements at the edges. It also gets vertically stacked headlamps on the lower bumper. On the sides, the design is expected to be the same with newly designed 18–inch alloy wheels. Moving rear, the SUV features a completely new tailgate, and full-width LED tail-lamps which are similar to the front. The SUV also features re-designed number plate housing with a sporty diffuser.

The second biggest change will be a new interior, the new Creta gets a new dashboard layout with twin-10.25-inch screens for instrumentation and for the infotainment system. The centre console also gets redesigned central AC vents with a single band of physical buttons.
Talking about the third point, the SUV will feature additional features such as 360-degree camera, heated and cooled seats, dual-zone climate control and Level-2 ADAS features such as Forward Collision Warning and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (car, pedestrian, cyclist, junction turning), Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Following Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Safe Exit Warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist.

The fourth biggest change will be additional colour options with the introduction of new variants. The new Creta will be available in seven variants - E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, SX(O). Colour options will include (Robust Emerald Pearl (New), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Titan Grey); and one dual-tone colour option – Atlas White with Black Roof.

The fifth biggest change will be the addition of a new turbo petrol engine. The new Creta will continue with the 115hp, 1.5-litre NA petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engines, with a manual gearbox as standard and CVT and torque converter gearboxes as options, respectively. It will now get a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 160 hp of power and little over 250 Nm torque. Gearbox options will include a 7-speed DCT and iMT.
Talking about the pricing, the price for the outgoing model starts from Rs 10.9 lakh. With the addition of new design, added safety, features and much more, we expect the new Creta to be expensive by at least Rs 80,000. The SUV will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Honda Elevate, as well as its cousin, Kia Seltos in India.
