Hyundai Motor India Limited shared a few new images of its upcoming mid-size SUV, Creta facelift, yesterday. The pictures, featuring the brand’s newest ambassador Deepika Padukone and the long-term ambassador Shahrukh Khan, have revealed a number of interesting details about this popular SUV. The company, with the new set of pictures, has revealed that instead of going with a minor facelift, they have completely revamped the design of the best-selling SUV in its segment.
2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift
Earlier in 2022, it was reported that Hyundai Motor India could debut the Creta facelift in January of the following year at the Auto Expo 2023. However, at the time, the company did not go through with the debut, mentioning that it wouldn’t be launching the Indonesian facelift in India. It stated that it is working on the development of a completely new design. Now, a year later, after seeing multiple test mules across the country, the company has finally given us a huge teaser for this new upcoming SUV.
New Creta Facelift: Exterior Design
Starting with the heavily redesigned exterior of the car at the front, from the picture shared by Hyundai, we can note that the company has given the upcoming Creta a brand-new front fascia. This front fascia does not look like a slightly tweaked one from last year’s model. Rather, it looks like a completely new design. We can note that the company has taken its inspiration from the newly debuted Santa Fe from the international markets, and there are also hints of the Venue facelift as well.
In terms of the details of the new front end, we can note that the car now gets a much more squarish design with a lot of rectangular elements. The main highlight that we can note is the inverted L-shaped LED DRLs and the connecting LED DRL light bar in the middle. The front end also gets a brand-new parametric front grille which looks unique to this SUV. Additionally, the car also gets a set of new vertically stacked LED headlights on both ends. The front lower bumper also features rectangular elements with a massive skid plate on the bottom.
Rear End Design
Coming to the rear, just like the front, the Creta facelift has undergone an extensive redesign. It now features brand-new LED taillights which also feature the same inverted L-shape and connected light bar in the middle. The rear bumper has also been fully revamped and now features a sizeable skid plate. The company has left no stones unturned in terms of overall exterior design. Most likely, this new design will help the company to gain an even bigger advantage over its competition and remain as the segment champion for the coming few years.
Interior Redesign
Apart from the exterior, the company has released a picture of the interior of the new Creta facelift as well. This new picture reveals a completely new dashboard layout which we have not seen on any Hyundai vehicle in the country. Dominating the center of the dashboard is the new 10.25-inch touchscreen display which has been connected with the 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster. The molded housing design in which these two massive screens have been placed looks very futuristic and modern.
Apart from this, on the left side of this new housing, we can note that a new rectangular element has been placed which on the extreme left features the newly designed air conditioning vent. Talking about the AC vents, all-new vents can be seen placed right below the screens and on the left of it, we can note the ambient lighting. Coming further down below, we can note that the car will come with new modern-looking touch-based climate control buttons and a new gear knob. The steering wheel appears to be the same as the outgoing model.
Engine Specifications
At the moment, the exact engine options to be offered with the Creta facelift have not been revealed. However, most likely the old engines will be carried forward. The only new engine option addition will be the same 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes around 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque and comes with a DCT gearbox in the Hyundai Alcazar, Kia Seltos, and Kia Carens.
