Tata Group-owned Air India has taken delivery of India's inaugural Airbus A350, officially registered as VT-JRA. This A350-900 model boasts a three-class cabin, featuring 28 private Business Class suites with full-flat beds, 24 Premium Economy seats offering extra legroom, and a spacious Economy Class with 264 seats. All passengers, regardless of class, will enjoy the latest-generation Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system with HD screens.The unveiling of a distinctive new livery marks a significant turning point in Air India's ongoing narrative of transformation. The aircraft made its journey from the Airbus facility in Toulouse, France, arriving in New Delhi at 1:46 pm on December 23.Scheduled to commence commercial service in January 2024, the A350-900 will initially operate on domestic routes for crew familiarization before expanding to longer-haul destinations. The specific commercial operation schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. This strategic introduction showcases the airline's commitment to enhancing the passenger experience and represents a noteworthy milestone in Air India's evolution under Tata Group ownership.
