Top Nifty gainers and losers: Apollo Hospitals soars, SBI Life, IndusInd down - Moneycontrol

Indian benchmark indices ended higher for the second consecutive session on November 3 with Nifty above 19,200. At close, the Sensex was up 282.88 points or 0.44 percent at 64,363.78, and the Nifty was up 97.30 points or 0.51 percent at 19,230.60. About 2215 shares advanced, 1351 shares declined, and 124 shares unchanged.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd: Shares of the healthcare major zoomed 5.5 percent to Rs 5,153 , extending gains for the second day. As many as 8 lakh shares changed hands, more than double the one-week average of 3 lakh.

LTIMindtree Ltd: Shares of the IT major rose 2.3 percent to Rs 5,135, extending gains for the second day in a row on the bourses.

Eicher Motors Ltd: Shares of the Royal Enfield maker darted over 2.5 percent to Rs 3,428. In October, the company reported a 3 percent increase in sales YoY. VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, posted a 24 percent growth in total sales at 7,486 units in October.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones Ltd: Shares of the port major rallied over 2.5 percent to Rs 793, extending gains for the second day. The surge comes after the company handled 37 MMT of total cargo in October 2023, implying a YoY growth of 48 percent.

Titan Company Ltd: Shares of the company rose over 2 percent to Rs 3,274 on November 3 after it reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 916 crore for the September quarter of FY24, registering an increase of 9.7 percent from Rs 835 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd: The pharma major fell 1.5 percent to Rs 5,263, extending losses for the third day.  The drop comes after brokerages maintained a cautious stance despite the company's Q2 recovery. Kotak Institutional Equities and Citi have "sell" calls on the stock, while Nuvama has a "hold" recommendation.

Tata Steel Ltd: Shares of the company fell 0.6 percent to Rs 117. In Q2, it reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 6,511 crore in the second quarter of 2023-24 as against a net profit of Rs 1,297 crore a year ago, as the company was hit by a double whammy of impairment charges and shrinking margins in Europe.
