The Honda Elevate is the latest SUV to enter the mid-size segment. We drove the SUV in Udaipur last month, and a quick first-drive review of the Honda Elevate is available on our website and YouTube channel. Honda has actually started production of the Elevate, and it has begun reaching some dealerships as well. The official launch of the Honda Elevate is expected to happen in September. The Elevate will compete with cars like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun in the segment. Here, we have a video in which a vlogger quickly compares the Honda Elevate with the Hyundai Creta SUV.
The video has been uploaded by India Revs on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger spotted a lower variant of the Hyundai Creta in Udaipur during the media drive and decided to do a quick comparison. The vlogger compares the exteriors and interiors of the Hyundai Elevate and Hyundai Creta. The vlogger starts by discussing the exterior. The Hyundai Creta has a rounded design with character lines on the bonnet, while the Elevate boasts a much bolder look, with elevated bonnet lines.
It should be noted that the Hyundai Creta seen in this video is not the top-end SX(O) variant; however, the owner has made a few modifications to make it look like a higher variant. The front grille on the Creta features chrome surrounds, while the Elevate has them only on the front nose. The headlamps on the top-end variant of the Creta are tri-beam LEDs, and the Honda Elevate also features all-LED units. From the front, the Elevate looks much bolder with minimal use of chrome in certain places. Moving to the side profile, the Hyundai Creta boasts alloy wheels, body-colored door handles, silver-colored plastic cladding on the C pillar, and roof rails. The Honda Elevate offers a cleaner and boxier design, incorporating all these features.
At the rear, the vlogger prefers the design of the Honda Elevate, as it appears much sportier and premium. As we all know, the Hyundai Creta’s design is polarizing. The LED tail lamps with halogen turn indicators and a connecting reflector strip all contribute to its premium appearance. The Creta’s tail light design resembles that of the headlamp.
When it comes to features, the vlogger does not provide an in-depth comparison due to the Creta not being a top-end variant. However, he does showcase the amount of space both SUVs offer. He finds that both the Honda Elevate and Hyundai Creta provide a similar amount of space in the front, while Hyundai offers better seats for rear passengers. He mentions that the Elevate’s shoulder room is slightly less than the Creta’s and might not be very suitable for three passengers in the rear. Otherwise, both SUVs offer a decent amount of space. The interior of the Honda Elevate appears premium with its black and tan combination. While the Elevate offers several features, it misses out on some such as ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, the Honda Elevate offers more boot space than the Hyundai Creta.
