The South Korean automotive manufacturer Kia Motor India recently launched the newest iteration of its highly popular mid-size SUV, the Seltos, in India. The new model boasts significant improvements over the previous version, piquing the interest of many people in the country. Recently, a video review and in-depth walkaround of the brand-new 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift were shared online. In the video, the presenter showcases the new model in great detail.

The video review of the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has been shared on YouTube by Fuel Injected on their channel. The video begins with the presenter introducing the brand-new Kia Seltos. He starts by stating that prior to the launch of the new Seltos, he solely preferred the Hyundai Creta because it had more features than the Seltos. However, he now prefers the Seltos over the Creta since the new model looks more aggressive and offers a greater number of features. The presenter mentions that the company has not yet announced the pricing of the model but estimates it to be around Rs 20-25,000 higher for the lower-spec trims and approximately Rs 1 lakh more for the top-spec variants.

Moving on, he shows the front of the car and mentions that the company has taken their time to redesign the Seltos, giving it a more aggressive and muscular appearance compared to its predecessor. He explains that the front tiger nose grille has been enlarged and now extends lower, creating a bigger visual impact. Additionally, he notes that the LED DRLs have been moved further down. He points out that the main LED headlight now features three pods instead of four, while the turn indicators have gained depth and a more premium look compared to the previous model.

Next, he opens the bonnet to reveal the engine bay and explains that the Kia Seltos offers three engine options. The first option is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces approximately 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque, available with manual and IVT transmission options. The second engine option is a 1.5-liter diesel engine that also generates 115 PS of power but delivers 250 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed IMT and automatic transmission options.

Finally, he discusses the third engine option, a brand-new 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine that produces around 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque. This engine is available with IMT and 7-speed DCT transmission options. The presenter showcases the insulation inside the bonnet before moving to the side profile of the car. He notes that not much has changed on the side, except for some chrome accents and new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. He then proceeds to the rear of the car, mentioning that it now features connected LED taillights and a revised rear bumper that adds to the car’s muscular appearance.

Continuing, the presenter explores the interior of the car and highlights the updated dashboard of the new Seltos. He mentions that Kia has introduced several new features in the Seltos cabin, including dual-zone auto AC, a full-TFT instrument console with multiple display modes, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a powered driver’s seat. Additional features include leather upholstery, six airbags, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and a wireless charger. The new Seltos also comes with an ADAS suite of features, including 17 autonomous safety features.
