Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: Top 5 Highlights

After countless spy shots and recent teasers, Royal Enfield has finally taken the wraps off its latest middleweight cruiser, the Super Meteor 650. The bike has been unveiled at EICMA and here are the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650’s top five highlights.

Thorough Cruiser Design

Similar to its smaller sibling, the Super Meteor 650 also gets a proper cruiser design. It sports a low stance with a fairly long rake and abundant chrome all around. The pictures show that the bike looks quite butch and has a round headlight, split seat, wide fuel tank, and overall retro design.

Same Motor

Powering the new Royal Enfield bike is a 648cc parallel-twin motor with the output rated at 47bhp and 52.3 Nm. It’s the same motor as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

New Hardware

The engine is nestled in a tubular steel frame suspended on USD front forks and dual rear shocks. Yes, the Meteor 650 is the first and only current Royal Enfield bike to get USD forks. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc with ABS. It rides on alloy wheels wrapped in 100/90 front and 150/80 rear tyre.
