After several leaked images and spy pictures, TVS has finally launched their brand new motorcycle TVS Ronin in the market. The TVS Ronin is actually a neo-retro scrambler and not a cruiser as expected before. TVS Ronin is not like any other product that Hosur-based manufacturer already offers. TVS currently does not have a Scrambler or a cafe racer motorcycle in the segment and with Ronin, TVS plans to explore this segment. Starting price for TVS Ronin is Rs 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
Coming to the styling, the Ronin gets a neo retro look. The headlamps are round with a T-shaped LED DRLs in the middle. The headlamp are LED units too. The headlamp has been developed in a way to generate more light than other motorcycles in the segment without creating a distraction for other riders on the road. The motorcycle comes with golden USD forks from Showa at the front and the front fenders are designed in a way that they hug the front tyre neatly. The motorcycle comes with 17 inch alloy wheel both at the front and rear. The alloy wheels are wrapped in block pattern dual-purpose tyres. The motorcycle gets disc brakes at both the ends. The motorcycle comes with ABS modes – Urban and Rain. As we move up, the LED turn indicators are placed on either side of the headlamp and above that is the fully exposed and floating round instrument cluster. There is no windscreen or fly screen in front of the instrument cluster.

The handle bar offers an upright riding position like in a scrambler and the fuel tank gets a tear drop shape design. The foot pegs are forward set for a There is TVS logo on the tank and the below that there is the engine. The TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9-cc, fuel injected, petrol engine that generates 20 Ps and 19.1 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. TVS claims that Ronin has excellent low and mid range torque and the motorcycle has a claimed top speed of 120 kmph. The engine is an oil-cooled unit. An engine bash plate is also offered with the motorcycle. TVS Ronin is the first motorcycle in the segment to get an integrated starter generator that facilitates a silent start.
The all-new TVS Ronin will be offered with a flat single seat and a simple metal grab handle for pillion is also placed. The rear gets a sleek LED tail lamp and the LED turn indicators are placed on the rear fenders. The TVS Ronin gets a matte black exhaust pipe with silver colour tip. Coming to the features, TVS will be offering a fully digital round instrument cluster for the Ronin scrambler. The instrument cluster will show a host of information like tachometer, speedometer, average fuel economy, trip meter, odometer and other notifications. The motorcycle will also get TVS’ SmartXonnect feature. With this feature, rider can actually connect his smart phone with the instrument cluster via Bluetooth for added convenience. Some of these features can be turned off from the application for an uninterrupted riding experience.
TVS Ronin uses a brand new chassis with a 50/50 split in the centre of gravity. TVS Ronin will be offered with a variety of colour options. It will be offered with both single-tone, dual-tone and triple-tone colour options. The price for the single-tone variant with single channel ABS is Rs 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The dual-tone single channel variant is prices at Rs 1.56 lakh, ex-showroom and the triple-tone dual channel variant is priced at Rs 1.68 lakh, ex-showroom. TVS is also offering exclusive merchandise and accessories for Ronin.
