Petrol and diesel prices have touched new all-time highs across India
Domestic petrol and diesel prices once again have been hiked after a brief pause of one day. Fuel prices remained stable on Friday. With the latest hike, petrol became costlier by up to 41 paise a litre, while diesel soared by up to 24 paise a litre. In Delhi, petrol jumped by 35 paise from ₹ 99.16 a litre to ₹ 99.51 a litre while diesel retails at ₹ 89.36 a litre, after a hike of 18 paise. Diesel has breached ₹ 100-mark in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, currently standing at ₹ 100.18 a litre while petrol has touched ₹ 110.01 a litre.

Petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai stand at ₹ 105.58 a litre and ₹ 96.91 a litre, respectively. In Chennai, petrol rates have reached ₹ 100.44 a litre after a 31 paise hike, while diesel rates went up by 19 paise, at ₹ 93.91 a litre. At the same time, petrol rates in Kolkata stand at ₹ 99.45 per litre with a 41 paise hike, while diesel is priced at ₹ 92.27 a litre after a 24 paise hike. Petrol and diesel prices in Hyderabad touched ₹ 103.41 per litre with a 36 paise hike while diesel rates increased by 20 paise, at ₹ 97.40 per litre. In Bengaluru, customers will now have to pay ₹ 102.84 a litre and ₹ 94.72 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively.
Petrol rates are already above ₹ 100-mark in 12 states and union territories, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Bihar, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha and Ladakh.

Fuel prices are the most expensive in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar where petrol is priced at ₹ 110.77 a litre, while diesel retails at ₹ 102.60 a litre. In Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district, petrol on Saturday touched ₹ 110.37 a litre and diesel jumped to ₹ 100.51 a litre. Customers in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra will have to pay ₹ 107.89 a litre and ₹ 97.66 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively.
