MARKET LIVE: Sensex falls 100 points; metals slip, pharma stocks up - Business Standard

LIVE market updates: The Indian benchmark indices edged lower in Tuesday's morning deals, amid largely weak cues from their Asian peers.

The S&P hovered around 52,600 levels, down 130 points and the index fell below the 15,800-mark. Asian Paints, Reliance Industries, and Larsen & Toubro were the top Sensex gainers. On the other hand, HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the top laggards.

The Nifty sectoral indices were mixed, with Nifty Metal index, down 0.9 per cent, taking the deepest cuts.


The broader outperformed their benchmark peers, with the S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indexes trading 0.37 per cent and 0.47 per cent higher, respectively.

Results today

IRCTC, Ruchi Soya, Cochin Minerals & Rutile, DCM, Omaxe, Sintex Industries, and Suzlon Energy are among the list of companies that will announce their quarterly earnings on Tuesday.
